The organization we are working with receives eyeglasses from optometrist shops and thrift stores throughout northern and central Utah. When the eyeglasses first arrive here in Cache Valley they need to be sorted, removing all unnecessary items like bags, cases, paper, etc. Then we remove all single vision eyeglasses for the next step.

Then we use a lensometer to measures the eyeglasses prescription strength. Once we sort by prescription, they are put in bags to ship overseas. They will then take the eyeglasses to Ghana, Uganda, and Peru. The people that receive the eyeglasses have no way to get them other than through organizations like this. With volunteers to help, many people in other countries would not have eyeglasses, making it really hard to live their everyday lives.

Please come join us and volunteer so that this organization can get glasses to people that need them. Adults are encouraged to sign up as well! Every person attending must complete a separate form.
